My Last Post for Two Weeks!!

WOW!!! SO much has happened this week that it is unbelievable! I thought my colonoscopy was hard enough to deal with but the news I am about to share, takes the cake. Yesterday, Chez and his co-workers along with employees from other nearby offices, were called in to a meeting. We knew last week that the company was going to lay off 4,000 workers, but we had no idea our office would be included in that. The meeting was to announce that the sales offices in Idaho will be shutting down at the end of the week! What scary news! So, I found out at 3PM that Chez no longer had a job. I was so nervous about what the future was to hold for us. Well, about 6 PM, Chez had two different job offers in another state through the same company, just at different offices that are staying open. Whew! What a relief that was to hear. We are not sure which office we want to move to. There is so much to think about. We have a few obligations here that will make the move a little hairy, but we will figure it out. Just when you think life is so perfect and you have a wonderful house, family, and life set up, you get a curve ball thrown at you. It will be a huge change for us but I am up for it and I will take everything that comes my way and swallow my pride. The good news is that with all of this stress all at once, we will be headed to a warm tropical place this weekend for two weeks where we can forget our problems for the time being. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Colonoscopy

So today I had a colonoscopy done which is a very routine procedure. However, I am pregnant so that scared me a lot. All last week after hearing that I needed it done, I was a basket case. I told every nurse at the surgical center and reminded my doctor before the procedure, that I was pregnant. Everyone assured me that the baby would be fine but to be safe, they didn't give me as much anesthesia as normal. Therefore, I felt the whole thing but I was still a little drugged up so it wasn't too awful. Just not pleasant. It was worth it for me though to have the least amount of medication enter my baby as possible. When I came home, grandma graciously came to pick up Kingston so I could run over to my OB and hear my baby's heartbeat as a little reassurance. The baby's heartbeat was strong and he/she was moving around all over. I feel sooooo much better now that it is all over with. What a week!

Timber!

On Monday when I was putting the last of the Christmas ornaments on the tree, all of the sudden, our enormous tree feel forward leaving a bunch of shattered ornaments all over our living room. At first I was sad and then I couldn't stop laughing. It was so funny. Well, Chez found a way to keep the tree steady again and so far it has not fallen again since. I posted a picture of when it fell and now when it is happy again, along with some other decorations I have around the house.

The Christmas Season is Upon Us!

I am so excited for the Christmas season. I have held out decorating until the day after Thanksgiving. It was hard since Thanksgiving was so late this year but I managed to wait. Now that the house is decorated, we are going to pick up our fresh cut Chrstmas tree today and our house will be complete. This time of year always brings back so many memories of the past years. Last year Kingston was only 9 months old but he had so much fun opening his gifts. This will also be our third year going to Cancun and we are so excited. I posted some Christmas pics of King last year in Cancun with my mom and Chez and I as well as Christmas morning, but when we get our tree all up and decorated, I will post some new Christmas pictures for this year.
