Baby Update

For some reason my baby clock countdown ran out earlier than it should have. I am now 36 weeks + 4 days pregnant and now starting to become super uncomfortable. It is so amazing to me that my tiny little body can carry such a large load. It is definitely weighing on me though. I had a doctor appointment today and hoping to be dilated somewhat, I wasn't at all. But the doctor says if I do start to dilate, he will induce me on the 12th of June which would be so great. That is only 2 weeks away. So, for the next two weeks, I will be doing a lot of walking and anything I can to get things going so I can finally feel relief from rib and back pain and enjoy our new little one. Wish me luck the next two weeks. I would post a picture of my belly which is ridiculously huge but our computer up and died and I have no way to download on the laptop.

Golfing and Mowing

These are just some pics of what we did on Friday and Saturday. Golf and mowing.

Baby Shower

My family decided to have a baby shower for me this past Saturday. The only problem was, I was too pregnant to fly all the way to Washington to attend it! So, I was on the phone during the opening of presents. It was interesting. I was happy to get all that I did and I thought it was so nice of my family to do this knowing I wouldnt be there. They sent me a picture of all I got and my mom will be sending it in the mail. On top of all that, my mom bought me a bedding set for her that I wanted SOOO bad but it was far too expensive. My mom is so great. She goes above and beyond sometimes. She said she wanted to do it since she lives so far from me and never gets to see me or Kingston and she wont be seeing the new baby much either.

Preggers Pics

We went to JC Penny today to get some pregnancy pictures taken. I was a little disappointed with the lady who took our pictures. She was very quick and had no patience. I was luckily able to pick out a few of the pictures that looked okay to me. She took far too many of the bare belly ones but oh well.

Okay so being over 35 weeks pregnant brings on some challenges in terms of cleaning the house. If I bend over to pick something up off the floor, there is a good chance I wont be coming back up for a while. So, Chez bought me this claw picker upper thing and I LOVE IT. This is something pregnant women cannot or should not live without. While I was enjoying the ease of cleaning stuff up off the floor today with my new tool, I decided to take pictures of myself because I was so proud and happy. So, I hope you enjoy the dorky side of me!

New Car

Chez sold his Ford F-150 last week which was sad for him but it had too many miles on it. He/we are now proud owners of an Audi A4. It is always fun getting new cars.I posted pictures of the new car. I really just like it because it has all wheel drive which is important if you live in a climate like mine.

Opinions ASAP...Nesting Mom!

Okay so I posted before a couple pictures of some car seat covers asking for opinions but I wasnt as serious back then. Now that I am due to give birth in less than 5 weeks, the nesting has completely set in and I will be purchasing my baby stuff this week. I need to know what you think of these two car seat covers. I dont have much to choose from since there isnt much option unless I were to buy a completely new car seat which is pointless. Ebay sells these car seat covers and I have always loved ebay. I even bought my car on ebay two years ago and it is still perfect. Anywho, what do you think?

Baby Update

I had my 33 week appointment today. She is measuring at 5 pounds. The doctor says he is going to induce me a week earlier than my due date unless she comes before then. I made the mistake of asking him if I had gained too much weight ( I have gained 27 pounds so far with 5 and a half weeks to go) and he told me that I have indeed gained too much weight! Oops. I gained 32 all in all with Kingston and lost all but 5 pounds in a matter of months but maybe I wont be so lucky this time. The doctor says the new guidelines for weight gain in pregnancy is under 20 pounds. That seems hard to me. Anyway, he says I am doing really well and the baby is super healthy. He will check to see if I am dilated at all on my next appointment in 3 weeks and after that I come in every week until I deliver. It is getting so close!

Pregnancy/Motherhood

Since this is one of my journals I now have, I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about pregnancy and motherhood. This is my second pregnancy and I am 33 weeks along now (which is 8 months). The beginning of the pregnancy was really really rough for me. I was very ill all the time with morning sickness and I lost 3 pounds (which for me is a lot of weight). I had to go in for a colonoscopy at 3 months pregnant to make sure I wasn't having serious issues. It was a tough time. I was never like that with Kingston. Finally at around 14 weeks, the sun came out and I felt GOOD. I could eat what I wanted and when I wanted without the urge to expell it, and I started gaining weight. It wasn't until my 20 week ultrasound when I found out the gender, that being pregnant, really hit me. I was so absorbed in already being a wife to Chez and busy mother to Kingston that I didnt constantly think or obsess about the little life growing inside of me. When the ultrasound technician told us it was a girl, all of the sudden everything changed. I had no idea I would be that excited. I was indifferent on wanting a boy or girl originally and I thought either would be great. Knowing we will have a little girl in the mix makes me pretty excited for what is to come. So here I am with just a few short weeks left before I give birth to this little girl and I am feeling so good. Granted I am growing rather large in size due to how big she is, yet I still have SO much energy to constantly clean, look after Kingston, travel, and do fun things as a family. In fact, we are going to Yellowstone next weekend. Being a mommy seriously brings the greatest rewards in life. Knowing that you are the one responsible for your happy, healthy children is a feeling nobody knows until they have their own children. Before I had Kingston, I must admit that I was easily annoyed by other children I would see at grocery stores or restaurants when they were acting up or throwing fits. I was even pregnant with Kingston when I still had those feelings and I was scared to death that I wouldn't know how to handle my own child. It is completely and 100% different though. Kingston has a tendancy at his age to throw some nasty fits and in public. I do get irritated but not in the same way I did when watching other kids. Chez always says to teach with love and that is one thing I have learned to do. I truly love being a mom and I am excited to welcome this new baby girl into our lives!
