Excitement!!

I cant help myself. It seems like the more kids I have and the older they get, the more fun my holidays are. Makenna is so in love with Kingston and if she had it her way, she would be running after him all day. Hopefully she always likes him as much as she does now. It makes me excited for next year when they will be able to play with each other more and they can both be excited for Santa Claus to come. For now, Kingston is so looking forward to Christmas and seeing Santa. I have so many fun things planned. I am just glad we are all sick now so that when the holidays near us, we will be healthy again. We are going to be doing our own family Thanksgiving (the first time ever without any extended family). I have no clue how to make a turkey but they have these great pre-packaged turkey loins at the grocery store that I plan to serve with stuffing, potatoes, green bean casserole, roles, sparkling cider, and pies. It will be sad not to see other family but good that we can bond as our own little unit and be thankful for our MANY blessings. The day after Thanksgiving is VEGAS....I have mentioned it before but I am pretty excited for it. I am excited to bring my babies. I have looked up many fun things we can do while there. After Vegas, it is Christmas tree decorating! I love that so much. Then, we are all going to Bear Lake with Chez's work. It is kind of like a work Christmas weekend party. After Bear Lake, I have lots of fun Christmas crafts to do with Kingston. We unfortunately will not be doing Cancun this year which is sad because we have done it for 4 years in a row I think? So I am not totally sure what are plans are for Christmas but we will have fun either way. I cant wait to watch Kingston have so much fun this Christmas. Bring on the Christmas movies, cookies, snow.....!!!!! I posted some pictures of Kingston's first Christmas and last year.

Happy Veteran's Day

A Happy Veteran's Day to all of those who have sacrificed their lives for this wonderful country. A special thanks to my dad who served in Vietnam as well as my late grandfathers who served in World War II. Their courage is more than words can explain and I am so grateful to live in the United States. I have very few pictures of my dad but I was able to find one :)

Sick!!

Oh boy this week has been awful. I think for the first time in my life, I have Influenza A. In the midst of my panick over getting the H1N1 vaccine, I completely forgot to get my regular seasonal flu vaccine. So now, here I am, super miserable and probably as sick as I felt when I had Mono. Now my poor little ones are sick but thankfully their young bodies are keeping it from getting out of hand. In fact, they are both in great moods, they just have runny noses and coughs. So, after 3 trips to the doctor and 2 antibiotics, I am still miserable but hoping things will start looking up in a few days so I can get back to normal.

Chez's Trip

I am so happy Chez had so much fun over the weekend. He has done such a great job at being a daddy, husband, and provider, that he soooo deserved this trip. I hope he can take more fun getaways in the future because it made me so happy to see him having such a great time. On his way to the terminal today, he was in the tram with John Gruden, who is a coach and former Superbowl champ. John let Chez wear his SuperBowl Ring and took a picture. We are happy to have daddy back though. Kingston every morning would say, "mommy, daddy is at work okay". Kingston will be thrilled to see daddy today.

Weekend With My Babes

So being the good wife that I am, I happily kissed my husband goodbye this morning and wished him a ton of fun. He is going to the Broncos-Steelers game this weekend with his guy friends. I am really excited for him and I hope he has a very enjoyable time. In the meantime, it is just me and my sweet babes. We are going to be heading to church in a second. We will spend the rest of our Sunday napping, baking, and doing holiday crafts. Once the babies are asleep, it is just me and the remote! Haha. Tomorrow is Monday and I think I will probably clean the house and do some Christmas shopping with the kids. Once again, after the kids go to sleep, it is just me and the remote! And maybe a little workout. We are getting super excited for our many trips coming up in the next month!

Goodbye Halloween, Hello Thanksgiving?

We went to Jo Ann last night to get some Thanksgiving crafts and all that was there was 70% off fall and Halloween decor as well as new stuff for Christmas. I happen to think that Thanksgiving is one of the most important days to celebrate but oh well. I did get some good deals on fall stuff. I also picked up some thanksgiving cookies for Kingston and I to bake so that is good enough I guess. Moving on to Halloween. Unfortunately, daddy had to work until 8 PM so I took over. I took the kids to the Salt Lake aquarium where we met up with their cousins. They had fun Halloween activities as well as a part of the aquarium being set up like a haunted house. After the aquarium, we went and saw grandmas, uncles, and aunts, and then headed back to Ogden. I took Kingston trick or treating which he HATED but then decided he loved it once he saw all the fun decorations people had out. Once daddy came home, he took over and took Kingston trick or treating while I passed out candy. It was a good day. A few days before that, we also painted pumpkins which Kingston LOVED. We are excited for Thanksgiving, and I am especially excited for Christmas. There will be so many fun crafts Kingston will love doing for Christmas. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving!
