My Husband Is So Sweet!

For a few weeks now, I have been complaining to Chez how I need to get my hair done. My hair grows so fast that my roots start showing and my ends get gross. The problem is, I LOVE my girl in Idaho Falls who does it and not sure if I want to find a new person here. We go to Idaho enough that I figured I could do it one of these times we go up. Well, Chez is so sweet and thoughtful. He loves the girl who does his hair. I love his hair every time he gets it cut too. He has wanted me to go to her as well but I have been very hesitant. She works at the beauty college here in town and still has a year to go. I don't feel comfortable getting my color, highlights, and cut done by a girl still in training! Chez however, made an appointment yesterday for me and surprised me with the news late last night. So, to be a good sport and take a chance hoping my hair would come out right, I went. I enjoyed the break from the kids. It was so nice of Chez to watch Makenna especially for 3 hours while I was gone. She wouldn't take a bottle from him though but luckily she stayed quiet for him even though she was starving! Anyway, my hair turned out awesome! Maybe even better than my Idaho girl if I dare say. I know it is just hair and I am making a big deal out of it, but it is one of the things that makes me feel good! I took the pictures of my hair myself since Chez was at work. So since I felt funny doing that, I decided to get a little crazy and do funny pictures.

It Melts My Heart When.....

-My sweet little Kingston gives me a big hug and says, "I love you mommy"
-My baby girl Makenna looks up at me and smiles
-Kingston kisses Makenna, talks to her, plays with her, and cuddles with her
-Makenna watches Kingston so closely and laughs and smiles at him
-Kingston quietly climbs into bed with Chez and I and peacefully sleeps in between us
-Kingston has a grin from ear to ear because he is having so much fun
-Makenna tries her hardest to mimic my voice by making cute little noises
-Kingston sees daddy's car from a mile away and runs towards him so excited
-Chez holds Makenna, talks to her, and most especially kisses her sweet forehead
-Kingston brings me a stack of books and plops himself down next to me
-Makenna tries to talk to her little baby toys and baby dvds
-Kingston looks out the window at the kids playing and shouts, "friends! I coming!"
-Chez spends his entire weekend playing with Kingston and making him the happiest kid
-I simply watch my babies sleeping and adore them in their peaceful slumber. To think that they are mine and everything I do at home with them, is what will shape them as they grow up and learn in this life, is overwhelming but a job I know is most important. Everyone says the time flies so enjoy them young while you can. Well, that is exactly what I want to do. I want to always cherish every moment with my children and let them know through actions and words, how much they mean to me. Chez is probably the world's greatest dad in my eyes and theirs. I want them to grow up knowing they have loving parents who taught them the best they could. I love my little babies and I feel so blessed to be able to have this amazing family! I am posting this in hopes that ten years or so down the road, I can read it and remember the special memories I had of my babes when they were so little.

Where Did This Baby Come From?

Makenna looks nothing like me! It is crazy. Her hair is turning a strawberry blonde color and her eyes are still bright blue. Kingston clearly looks like my child but Makenna looks like she got switched at birth!

My Baby Girl is 3 Months old!

I cannot believe how fast the time went. I suppose with being very sick in the hospital, trips, and tons of activities all summer, time has just flown by. I seriously cannot believe Makenna is 3 months old today. We brought up the jumparoo for her for the first time last night and she loved it. She has been more awake these days and very happy and playful. She is a great eater and she sleeps through the night. She has slept through the night basically since day one which is a huge blessing. It has given me the energy to take care of both my kids without being too wiped out all of the time. Besides Makenna being three months old, like I said, we have had a very busy summer. We have gone to Lagoon basically every weekend, gone to Idaho numerous times to take care of our houses and visit family, we have been to a wedding, Seattle, Raging Waters, and so many more different activities and events that we are so looking forward to changing pace and seeing fall. Every fall I decorate the house so nice in fall colors and flowers. I am pretty excited. We are also looking forward to Cancun this year with Chez's parents for the first time! It has always been my parents who have come and now we are so excited to show Cancun to the Jones's. Well, this is all I have to say for now....lots of stuff this summer but not ever enough time for me to tell it all. P.S. I have a nice camera that I ALWAYS forget everywhere we go so a lot of these are on my camera phone. Thank goodness for that! My new goal is to always remember to take my camera everywhere I go! You just never want to miss a moment.

Kingston vs Makenna

From Pregnancy until now, nothing is the same between Makenna and Kingston. I had a completely different pregnancy experience, labor and delivery, and newborn stage. I guess if we ever decide to have another baby some day, I will know if it is a boy or girl because these two were SO opposite!

Lots of Stuff but Not Much Time

Since having a second child, my time has been diminished and my internet time is quick and minimal. So, a lot has happened which I will explain and post a lot of pictures. Two weeks ago my mom came to town for a visit. She came with us to Idaho Falls to go to Garrett's (Chez's brother) wedding. It was a very nice wedding and the bride was gorgeous. Her colors were so pretty too and all the sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews, wore clothing to match. We had a reception that night and then another reception the next day in Bear Lake. On Monday, we flew off to Washington to visit my family for a week. The flight with a toddler and newborn was enough to give me a very BAD headache. I took some medicine when we landed that was very strong and by the time we made it to my parent's house, my headache was gone. My parents moved into a new house, AGAIN. They buy and sell every couple of years and before the market crashed, they made a lot of money doing that. Anyway, it was fun to see the family and hang out. I flew back by myself with the two kids and I was very nervous. Luckily, I had it all planned out the night before and things went surprisingly very smooth! It made me super excited for our December trip to Disney Land and Hawaii (well, we arent sure if we want to do Hawaii after Disney Land or Cancun. It all depends on plane prices). Now we are all settled back in and unpacked which feels nice. Our next adventure is to Lagoon this weekend(which we do every weekend with our season passes) and Raging Waters for a work awards party. Also, Makenna had her 2 month check up today. She has bad reflux so I have been so worried about her weight gain but she is doing great. She is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th for height so I am feeling so much better about her growing. She is such a sweet little thing! Kingston is doing well too. Still adjusting to the divided attention with two kids now but he loves his baby "shisher".
