Living in Limbo

While I am living in limbo right now (long story), I have been trying to find things to do for myself and the little ones. Besides spending a ridiculous amount of time on the internet out of severe boredom during nap times, we have managed to find this pretty awesome community center to take Kingston in the evenings. It has everything a kid would want as far as an indoor pool goes. There are tons of slides, a lazy river, plenty of swimming space, and the water is WARM! I havent taken pictures because I was afraid of getting the camera wet but I will try to find some online ones.

Coming up soon is the month of March. This is the month in which Chez and I got married and then a year later had a baby boy Kingston (who is now 2 almost 3).Believe it or not, Chez and I were married on St. Patricks Day. This is all a total coincidence. We found out it was St. Patrick's Day probably a month before we got married. when we found out we were thinking, oh this was totally meant to be ;) haha.

So amongst the extreme chaos and unkowns in our lives right now, we have a month full of fun with our anniversary, Kingston's birthday, and actually a lot of other birthdays in the family. Not to mention, we will be moving.......

The Secret is Out.......

Chez and I are going to Vegas alone this Sunday. It happens to be Valentine's Day and believe it or not, this is just by coincidence. In fact, I didnt even realize it was Valentine's Day until after I booked the tickets. Why are we going to Vegas? Well...............to house hunt! That is right. If things go according to plan (hopefully nothing gets in the way), we will be moving to Vegas by the first week in March. This gives us a few weeks to pack up, find a house, and hit the road. Chez will be relocating with his job. I am really excited about this move. So many things helped us make this decision. First, I have family down there and Chez's parents live just a few short hours away in Arizona. Second, I could get a pretty decent paying job down there because of my cousins "hook ups". Third, the weather is nice year around. Of course it is hot in the summer but there are pools and AC. Fourth, the money will be better with his new job. I know people have misconceptions about Vegas because of obvious reasons but it is a highly populated LDS community (and probably other religions too). There are plenty of safe neighborhoods and we have friends who live there who are helping us find the best neighborhoods. Anyway, unless something happens where we cant move for some reason, we will be out in a few short weeks. So yes we are going to Vegas on Valentine's week to house hunt, but we thought since the kiddos will be staying with grandma, we would also celebrate Valentine's as well as our 4th anniversary. So that is the story

Angel Babies

I give my little ones lots of cute nick names. I call them babe, love bird, sweet cakes.....But my very favorite is Angel baby because they are my little angel babies :). So, I felt like this new Valentine's background was very fitting for my family blog!

Facebook Fun

Okay so I do the facebook thing frequently and there is a fun little thing everyone is doing on facebook right now. You are supposed to change your profile picture to a famous person who people have told you you resemble. Well, people have ALWAYS told me I look like Sandra Bullock so I decided to post it here too along with a picture of me. I definitely see the resemblence and it makes me laugh.

Lazy Babies?

I am so proud of my little ones. They are so smart. They also have such sweet hearts and it makes me melt. Yesterday Kingston sat next to Makenna in the backseat, held her hand and in a soft high pitched voice kept saying to her,"you are my sweety girl". It was so cute! But, they are late bloomers (or so it seems). It seems like all of my friends have babies that are the same age as mine and all of their babes are already crawling and even walking. I have one friend who's little 8 month old just started walking! Crazy. Kingston didnt crawl until he was 10 months old and then a month later started walking. Makenna will be 8 months old in a few days and she is still not crawling. There is only so much I can do. I am obviously cherishing my time with an immobal baby because once they move, it's time to lock down the house. On the other hand, I think it would be so great if she did learn to crawl. So, I will just keep working with my her and hope she figures it out. I posted pictures and the ones with Kingston are special because he recieved a new toy from mommy and daddy for sleeping in his bed all week without coming into mommy and daddy's bed. He is in heaven! He loves loves loves trains.

Seattle

We just flew back from 10 days in Seattle. It was a great trip. The kids are always such absolute angels on the plane and it always makes me so happy when fellow passengers come up to me to tell me how behaved my kids are. I just feel so blessed that they are so good on the plane. It makes it easier to travel. Anyway, we got to see lots of family including all of my brothers and sisters and their kids. I always love to visit family. We didnt do anything all that exciting but that's how I prefer my visits. My parents and I went out to dinner a few times, I took my sisters kids out on individual dates, my sister watched my kids so I could get a massage, and basically we just kept it low key. My brother David is getting married in August so that will be exciting. I am looking forward to that.

The night before I flew out to Seattle, I went on a date with my husband and my brother and sister in law. We went to the Jazz game. I had such a blast. I dont get to go out much because my kids are kinda hard to babysit if you dont know them. Needless to say, the kids gave this poor babysitter a hard time. Makenna screamed when I left because she is not a fan of anyone really but mommy these days and Kingston ended up pooping in his sleep whuch resulted in him waking up screaming and crying. When we walked in the door after our date, we saw the babysitter sitting upright on the couch with sleeping Kingston in one arm and sleeping Makenna in the other. It was really cute. We took good care of her in terms of pay but I wouldnt be surprised if she never wanted to babysit again!

We have been home just a couple days and the kids and I have caught a yucky cold. Makenna has a horrible cough. So, we have been resting and taking it easy. We did however, get some Valentine's decorations at Target and decked the house out. Kingston loves decorating for holidays. Next adventure......it is up in the air. We are watching plane prices and hoping to get a good flight deal to either Disney Land or Disney World.

I will have to post pictures later. Something is wrong with my computer.....

Action Packed Past Couple Of Weeks!

Wow have we been busy busy and sick with the stomach flu to boot. It all started on December 24th when we headed to Idaho to spend the night with family. We had a Christmas Eve party with the Jones's family friends. Good food and good entertainment. The little kids all did a play of the Nativity. It was sooooo adorable. That night we opened PJ's and we all slept at grandma's house. Well sort of. I ended up driving Kingston around town until 2 am because he just couldnt sleep. It was fun though. We saw lots of Christmas lights. The next day we all opened up presents and spent the day relaxing. That night we headed back to Utah and woke up the next morning to our own Christmas. Makenna was loving it and Kingston would have been happy opening just one present. He had at least ten to open. We had to help him since he wanted to play with every toy he opened right then and there. The next day we headed back to Idaho to hang with the family some more. We got a hotel room so we could swim and sit in the hot tub. While in Idaho, we went cross country skiing. That was good family bonding however, I was in pain. It was so hard and I fell so much. It only proved to me how out of shape I was! We rented movies, played gmaes, and I was able to have lunch with a friend as well as get my hair done. By the end of the trip, I caught the stomach bug that most everyone else had and spent our drive home moaning and holding in my cookies. I spent all yesterday super sick and relying heavily on my anti-nausea pills, ibuprofen, and tylenol pm. I am just now starting to feel better but now Kingston is throwing up! Funny thing is, my memories of Christmases when I was young, I was usually sick with the stomach flu. Go figure. Oh, and Makenna got her first tooth over our vacation. That is exciting. Next up is Seattle in a couple weeks
