School Bus Hotel Take....20?

Chez is in Orlando for work so i decided to take the kids to our favorite hotel..the school bus hotel or as everyone else knows it, the Southpoint. We have stayed here so many times. We love it. It's very cheap but also a super nice resort. The pool is very kid friendly, the restaurants are good, and there's bowling, movie theater, and an arcade. We had a good time this time. It really feels like our home away from home.

Changes

And this is where the real adventure began! Our wedding day. Little did either of us know, we would have a little bun in the oven just three months later!

The proposal in Disneyland and the start of so many adventures to come for us

This is Kingston today. Our first born and the one who started it all. I have learned so much from this little guy!

This is the day we brought our little prince home. Not sure if you can see the terrified look we have hiding behind our eyes. Right after this photo,we ended up spending a half hour attempting to figure out the car seat. We ended up getting help from a nurse inside.

Before I exploded in water weight, this was me about 7-8 months pregnant and it looked as though I had stuck a basketball in my shirt

This is me the night before I had Kingston. I was actually in labor in this photo. It was a few minutes later the contractions hit bad. I dialted to a 4 and slept peacefully the rest of the night.

This is me 8 months pregnant and about to leave for work

And this is the Chez Jones family now. The 4 of us and a baby kitty.

Isn't it funny how much your life can change over a span of a few short years? Less than 5 years ago, I was newly married, pregnant with my first baby, working, living in the small town of Idaho Falls (and loving it), and only 22 years old. I often think. What did I do with all of my free time? Sure I was working and married but I had NO KIDS. They have consumed my every waking minute (in a good way). Did I value the time I had back then? I really can't remember. What I would give to go back in time and tell myself as I was grocery shopping or running errands how much easier and fun it is without kids. I love my kids dearly and love my new life as a mom but it is funny to think back on my mentality without kids. And don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of people without kids that have very demanding lives that can relate to busy parents. It is funny to say but so true that if I could go grocery shopping once a week alone, that would be fabulous. The money I would save from not finding items in my grocery bags at home that I know I didnt put in the cart, how much I could get done in a short time, and most of all, the peace, quiet, and relaxation. Ahhh! Now this is not to scare my friends who do not yet have kids because again, I love my kids to pieces. But sometimes it really is funny to think how much my life has changed in so many ways in such a short time!

Good Kitty

Today I dropped off kitty for a declaw and neuter. I was on the fence about the declaw. It makes me sad to think he won't have his front claws that help him climb trees and kill birds. But at the same time, we took him in, feed him, play with him, take care of him, and he claws up the furniture and the kids even when the claws are clipped, so its time. So its time. They leave the back claws on and i remember with our last kitty, he was still able to fulfill his adventurous life without his front claws. The neuter was a no brainer. We don't need any baby comets running around. Which brings me to a point. They are always encouraging animal control and getting your pet spayed or neutered, so why is it so ridiculously expensive to get it done? I spent $200 alone for the neuter. What about those who have a family cat and don't have that kind of money? Seems crazy. Anyway, we are excited to have kitty back tomorrow. He will most definitely be getting a special treat when he gets home.

Kenna Vocabulary

I did this when Kingston was kennas age. I think when kids are just learning to talk, they say the cutest things that only a mom and dad could understand. So here are the words kenna says and what she's trying to say:

Teamy tome - ice cream cone
Tenna - kenna
Shooby shooby - soup
Damma - grandma
Key - kitty
Mecine - medicine
Toto - when she wants to watch wizard of oz
Seep - sleep
Pee - pretty
Lips - chapstick
Mimi - Minnie
Wainin - raining
Dip its - ranch or ketchup for fries or nuggets
Tink bell - tinkerbell
Fedder - feather

She actually is pretty good at saying words correctly and the one word she made sure to learn right away and has made many people laugh, is MONEY! If she sees a coin on a bill, she shouts "money!" And hurries to snatch it up. She sure is a pleasure to have in our house and is a good contrast from her big brother Kingston. We love you kenna!

Grateful For My Blog

I decided to go back to some of the very first blog posts I had and I was so happy to see the fun moments I started posting back when Kingston was a baby. Heaven knows I, as well as many others, don't have time to scrapbook let alone put together a simple picture album so this blog has been wonderful. I am so happy to have this and just looking back at posts has motivated me to want to keep up the blogging throughout our journey. So cheers to blogger!

What Do Ya Think?

This is my hair now...

So I am going to add some low lights in to my hair for the fall. Getting my hair done is like the one thing I love to do for myself. Being a mom and wife can get stressful at times and it can be harder to feel and look your best so I treat myself to the salon every couple of months. Anyway, I want to change it up just a slight bit so which one do you like best and do you think would be an easy transition? Right now my hair is super blonde and I want to tone it down a tad with low lights while still keeping a good portion of the highlights. For the super blonde girl pictures, I would just take that color and add a few of those highlights not my whole head. Oh and it's just color I want opinions on. I am keeping my hair long and maybe adding a few layers.
