In Memory of Kitty Who Died 2-25-09

I Am Crushed! :(

Last night my Kitty decided to stay outside last night. Our across the street neighbors are very irresponsible and always have guys coming through the night. Last night there were so many cars acting like speed racers at their house. Well, this morning Kingston and I went to let Kitty in and immediately I saw Kitty's lifeless body struck in the front of our house. Kingston just stood there calling out, "kitty Kitty". Kingston loves Kitty so much so it is so hard. I can't leave my house until my brother-in-law who is nice enough to take care of it, removes Kitty's body. I am really sad. Hopefully Kingston wont miss Kitty too much :(

We Found A House!

After almost two months of looking for houses in Utah and being completely disgusted and disappointed by what we have seen for the prices, we found the perfect house. It is a nice lady who owns it who just moved to a larger house. It is brand new. She was going to just sell it so she didn't have to worry about renting it out but when she talked to Chez for a while, she told him she had a good feeling about renting it to us so she took it off the market! What a blessing. It is by far the nicest house of all the houses we have seen and still the same price as all the others. This couldn't have come at a better time. Every week it gets harder and harder to say goodbye to Chez as he heads off to Utah for the week while we stay back in Idaho. Kingston's 2nd birthday is coming up in a few weeks and our 3rd anniversary as well. We just want to be all together as a family again. We move in on the 8th of March and I am so excited to call it home for a while and get Kingston out of his crib and into his big boy bunk bed and set up our baby girl's room. This has been a tough couple months for us in terms of moving jobs, homes, and states but things are looking up! Now all we need to do is find a sutiable renter for our house here. It is sad to say goodbye to this house because we designed it how we wanted and barely finished the basement but that's life. I am happy to take on what life has to throw at me.

Puerto Rico Trip

Day 1: We arrived at the resort around 4 pm where we checked in, walked around the resort, ate at the company buffet dinner, then went to bed. It was a long trip there!

Day 2: We woke up to a company breakfast buffet, had pictures taken, then rented a vehicle with a few other couples we knew and toured the Fort in Old San Juan. That was amazing. The picture of me with my tummy next to the canon ball was just to show how large those canons at the Fort were. We came home that evening, showered, and headed over with a bunh of others to a five star seafood restaurant for dinner. When we came back, we played in the casino a little then went straight to bed.

Day3: We hung at the pool the whole day. We acutally slept in until noon because we were still used to being in Idaho time which was 3 hours behind. That night we had the awards ceremony where we were served the most amazing dinner of soup, salad, sorbet to cleanse the palat, steak and lobster, and then the most decadent chocolate mousse and white chocolate plate. Chez was awarded 3 different awards! It was truly special because there were thousands of others in the company who also made it to President's Club and only a handful receieved this many awards. I had no idea he had that many coming so it was a very proud moment. The awards ceremony didn't end until midnight so we went straight to bed after.

Day 4: We woke up early for a jungle tour in San Juan. It was breath-taking. The views were amazing. We came back, hung at the pool, showered, headed off to a secluded resort with everyone where we entered a jungle-themed buffet dinner. It was amazing but we couldn't stay long because us and a few other couples went on a night kayak trip through a bay off the ocean. It was so neat because this night-time adventure in the bay glowed. With every stroke of the kayak ore, there was a glow. You could put your hand in the water and see it glow. They call it "bioluminescence" I know I spelled that wrong! Anyway, it was so amazing!

Day 5: We hung at the pool and beach all day. Towards the end of the day at the beach, a pretty bad rain storm came bareling in and we got drenched! It was fun though. There are these huge iguanas that hang out in the palm trees around the pool and once it started raining, they climbed out of the trees and took a swim! It was so cute. That night we headed off to another company dinner buffet then spent the evening playing in the casino.

Day 6: We woke up at the butt crack of dawn to catch our flights back home. It was a very tiring day but I was so happy to see my little boy!

Tons of Puerto Rico Pictures!

It's A Girl!

Boy am I exhausted and hitting the sack any minute now but first I wanted to let everyone know we found out we are having a girl. I have to admit that I didn't think it was possible for us to ever have a girl since Chez is the first of 6 boys in his family but I guess it is possible after all. We are so excited for this new experience of having a little girl around. Kingston will be such a good big brother. He loves babies! Anyway, we will be gone for the next week but I just wanted to share the news!
