Another Question for moms or those with style! ;)

This may seem like the most trivial thing, but I am having the hardest time finding the right toy box for Kingston. He has so many toys strewn about the house and it's time for some organization. I plan to put the toy box in his room, so I am being particular about what it looks like. Is plastic a bad idea? What about the wood ones. His crib is cherry wood. Would it look wierd to put a different color wood toy box in his room than his crib? I have posted pictures of the ones I have looked at. If you would, let me know what you think. Thanks.

Four-wheeling with Daddy

Kingston has been becoming such a big boy lately. It seems like only yesterday when he was born and he is already 14 months old! Time flies. He is definitely into everything the big kids do. So, Chez took him on a ride around the neighborhood on the four-wheeler and we are looking in to getting him a power wheels of some sort. We like the Hummer and John Deer tractor. He is all boy with having 7 boy cousins and only two girl cousins! I love my little guy and it is so fun to watch him grow.

Mother's Day

So my Mother's Day was so great. I love my husband. He doesn't say a whole lot sometimes but he sure does do a lot of very loving and thoughtful things. We woke up at 7 am, got Kingston ready and took him over to his cousin's house. Then we headed off to pick up the boys(Chez's dad, brother, and friend), and headed off to Salt Lake for the big Jazz-Lakers game. I had only been to one other NBA game and that was in Seattle, so I was stoked to go to this Jazz game, and a playoff game at that. When we got to our seats, they were very high in the stadium but that was still okay. However, Garrett, my brother-in-law, had the hook up with some girl who's family has season tickets in row ten of section one. So at half time, Chez and I went down to those seats. I couldn't believe how much more exciting the game was sitting in those seats. We were on camera a lot during breaks, and we felt like we were actually in the game. I was so amazed to be sitting so close to amazing players like Williams, Boozer, and even Kobe Bryant from the Lakers. So we had a blast. Needless to say, we lost of voices with all the screaming we had done. After the game, we went to a place called Rodizio Grill with our friends Jason Chapa, Josh Oalman, and Jason's girlfriend Jasmine. Jasmine and I got roses at the restaurant for being mommies. The day was amazing and I had so much fun. My sister-in-law was so kind to watch Kingston the whole day on Mother's day. I watched her boys on Valentine's night so we are even ;). I love being a mommy!

Update on Kingston

Thank you for all the advice. It must have just been because he was sick but the past couple of days have been better than ever. In fact, he slept through the night for the first time last night. He normally wakes up a couple times. I noticed that a half hour before bed, after his bath and pj's, if I sit with him for a half hour and read to him or sing him songs, it relaxes him enough to quickly fall asleep. Now this is off the subject but I have another question for all of you. I am still new at this blog thing and I have no clue how to make my blog look pretty, add music.....My blog is a complete mess right now. I am embarrassed to even add more friends ;). Anyway, thanks again for all of your help.

For those of you who are mommies....I need some advice

Okay here goes....Kingston is going on 14 months. Last week he was suffering from a bad rash on his behind, a tooth coming in, and a cold. For the first few days, he hardly slept. Well, he is starting to feel a little better and he is still not sleeping. In fact, he screams if I put him down for naps, and for the night. I have tried bouncing him, giving him a bottle, giving him a binkie, and even driving him around at 3 am! I will say that driving does help, but as soon as I take him out, he is wide-eyed. I am hopeless at this point. If I would let him, he would play all night long and be completely happy. I am running on zero hours of sleep. I am so desperate for any advice any of you mommies may have, to help my child just go to sleep. Oh, and I might add, we took him to the doctor and he didn't seem to think it was much of a problem(that's because he isn't the one losing sleep at night!) Anyway, suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
