Gifts

I was just at Target getting a few things for Christmas. I was finding myself getting frustrated at trying to find the perfect gifts. It made me wonder, what am I doing? Christmas is NOT about getting the perfect gift for all your friends and family. Christmas is about spending time with your family and friends and enjoying the season. How can you enjoy anything when you are in and out of store after store, finding zits on your face from stress, and feeling unhappy if you dont get everything done right? In my opinion you can't. My mom sent all of my siblings and I a text asking us to bring our own Christmas Eve PJ's and letting us know gift cards would be the bulk of all gifts on her end. She works 12 hour work days throughout the week and she has 5 children all with spouses and children. That is a lot on her shoulders and she just wants to enjoy the holidays like the rest of us. I called her up to let her know I completely understand and even offered to make a few different foods for her Christmas party. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and remember to take it easy and just enjoy yourself.

Dreaming About....

Maui

I know I talk about my vacations a lot, but it's my blog :). Every Christmas I am now reminded of Cancun. We went every Christmas for the first three years we were married. This will be the second year in a row we will not be there. I am missing it so much. Luckily I have Maui to dream about until we go in two months.

I Heart Disneyland!

We just got back from our most recent trip to Disneyland. It was so fun. I was sick with a bad cold but it didnt matter. How could you not enjoy being at the happiest place on earth? This trip was extra special because the park was decorated in Christmas decor. We decided to do our Christmas pictures there. There is a massive Christmas tree right in the front of the park that we took the pictures in front of. They really go all out. There were wreaths hanging all above along main street by the shops. Some of the rides were all decked out including Its a Small World. They do such a good job decorating for Christmas on that ride. They change the music a bit during Christmas time as well. The parade at night was so cute. It too was Christmas themed. After the fireworks, they set off fake falling snow. We really enjoyed our time there this trip. And of course, the resort we stay at is super nice and right there next to Disneyland. We bought season passes since we are fortunate enough to live only 4 hours away so we will be seeing Disneyland decked out for Valentine's Day next month. Can't wait.
