So Cal

Our week in California with the Jones family was really fun. Despite the fact that I got bronchitis and had to make a quick stop at a doctor for antibiotics, things went well. We started off the trip in San Diego where we went to SeaWorld. We love that place. It is so amazing to see these animals so well trained. They are so smart and the kids loved every bit of it. The next day we headed to Anaheim where we went to Disneyland and rode as many rides as we could. Thank goodness we had fast passes. Those always come in handy when the lines are an hour long. We went to Disneyland the next day as well and I think we were able to get in every ride as well as riding the Big Thunder Mountain a few times. I think it is safe to say that Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain were everyone's favorites. The last day we went to the beach and hung out there for the day before we headed back to Vegas. It was so nice to have such a fun trip with the Jones's. Next adventure is fourth of July, my birthday, and I think my mom is coming in July.

Summer Fun

We went to LA a few days ago for our Minute to Win It audition. It was really fun. I feel like we impressed the production team. They said they may call in two weeks but if not, it was still an awesome memory. While we were in town, we decided to hang out at the beach where they had a carnival like theme on the pier. Kingston rode on the ferris wheel with daddy and we ate at Bubba Gumps for dinner. I love Bubba Gumps. Next adventure is Disneyland, the beach, and Seaworld with the Jones family. Kingston A-loves Disneyland, B-loves Shamu, and C-loves the beach so this will be such a fun trip. After that is fourth of July and I have no clue what we are doing. My birthday is July 7th and I am excited for that. Looking forward to a nice day with my kids and a fun evening with my husband. BUT to make it even more exciting, I thought it would be fun if Chez and I went to LA and got tickets for the Price is Right. Haha I know a game show junkee? No but the Minute to Win it thing was so fun that I thought doing the Price is Right might even be more of a blast. After that, my parents and sister are coming here to Vegas in August for my brother's wedding. Last stop I think will be Seattle for the kids and I to see the rest of my family in September while daddy and his friend go on a fishing trip in Alaska. I am sure there will be more excitement even after that but for now, we are booked up and ready to have a lot of fun!

Audition in LA!

Holy cow I am so excited! I applied for a game show on Nbc and got contacted within hours from sending in my app that they wanted to invite me to a VIP cast session in LA on Tuesday or Thursday which ever day I choose. So I am heading there on Tuesday for my three hour audition! Wish me luck. Either way, even just doing an audition is cool enough!

Simple Pleasures

I know it's just a phone, but I am so excited. I do everything with my phone these days including getting around Las Vegas (or anywhere for that matter), texting, internet, pictures (this phone is almost as good as a nice camera you would buy at the store), video, scheduler....I feel like the coolest kid on the block! I feel like I deserve nice things from time to time just like anyone else :)

Makenna Turns 1!!

I still cannot believe my sweet baby girl turned 1 today. She is such a little princess. I am so grateful to have her in my life. She is such a happy and fun baby.

Her day started out great. We were snuggling in bed while Kingston was in his bed sleeping (or so we thought). Next thing we know, Kingston comes running in with a present, shouting, "happy birthday Kenna!". It was so sweet. He loves her more and more everyday. While Kenna took a long nap, Kingston and I decorated downstairs with streamers, presents, and balloons. We also made her birthday cake. We ordered Papa Johns for her birthday dinner because pizza is her most favorite food. She devoured an entire slice plus a breadstick. After dinner her and Kingston opened up presents. She loved everything. Grandma got her some cute outfits, a talking bear that even says her name and sings songs, as well as a leap frog phone. Mommy, daddy, and Kingston got her a pink piggy bank wearing a princess crown and tutu, princess car keys, a princess cell phone, a talking and moving baby doll (her absolute favorite), and a barbie. After presents, we sang Happy Birthday and Makenna dove right into her birthday cake along with Kingston in our cake because he thought I made it for him! It was so cute and I didnt have the heart to tell him no. So both kids were covered in cake. After Makenna made the biggest mess of the floor and herself, I gave her a bath, put her in some brand new big girl pjs, and put her to bed. It was such a great day. I love that little girl so much.

Thinking and Random Mumbo Jumbo

Life in Vegas has been really great. I feel like I have lived here forever. We have a great friend living with us right now who babysits the kids once a week so Chez and I can date, the weather is fantastic, we actually have social lives, and the kids and I havent been near as sick and that includes my asthma-I have not had bad asthma since moving here which leads me to believe it is all due to cold weather. That is a very good thing! I do have some things I have been thinking about lately. I want to workout and lose 10 pounds (probably impossible). I look at pictures of Chez and I from when we were first married and dating and I think how teeny tiny I was! It's crazy because my mom always said, "eat what you want now because the older you get, the harder it is to keep the weight off!". I always shrugged that off but here I am fighting to keep a lighter weight. I am not saying I am fat, but I would love to tone my troubled areas! haha. I also want to spend more one on one time with my kids to show them how special I think each of them are, as well as reading to them and teaching them. I think it's important to step back from regular house chores, socializing, or whatever it is, to spend time with the kiddos. There are also a few other things I have been pondering lately that leave me undecisive (nothing bad of course). It is just one of those things you wish you knew the right answer to but it isnt given in a straight "yes" or "no". I guess we will see what happens of it. This post was completely random and me basically just rambling. Sometimes we all need to do that! I decided to post a few pictures of me when Chez and I first started dating to kind of motivate myself to workout more, as well as remind me of good memories.
