Seattle

We just flew back from 10 days in Seattle. It was a great trip. The kids are always such absolute angels on the plane and it always makes me so happy when fellow passengers come up to me to tell me how behaved my kids are. I just feel so blessed that they are so good on the plane. It makes it easier to travel. Anyway, we got to see lots of family including all of my brothers and sisters and their kids. I always love to visit family. We didnt do anything all that exciting but that's how I prefer my visits. My parents and I went out to dinner a few times, I took my sisters kids out on individual dates, my sister watched my kids so I could get a massage, and basically we just kept it low key. My brother David is getting married in August so that will be exciting. I am looking forward to that.

The night before I flew out to Seattle, I went on a date with my husband and my brother and sister in law. We went to the Jazz game. I had such a blast. I dont get to go out much because my kids are kinda hard to babysit if you dont know them. Needless to say, the kids gave this poor babysitter a hard time. Makenna screamed when I left because she is not a fan of anyone really but mommy these days and Kingston ended up pooping in his sleep whuch resulted in him waking up screaming and crying. When we walked in the door after our date, we saw the babysitter sitting upright on the couch with sleeping Kingston in one arm and sleeping Makenna in the other. It was really cute. We took good care of her in terms of pay but I wouldnt be surprised if she never wanted to babysit again!

We have been home just a couple days and the kids and I have caught a yucky cold. Makenna has a horrible cough. So, we have been resting and taking it easy. We did however, get some Valentine's decorations at Target and decked the house out. Kingston loves decorating for holidays. Next adventure......it is up in the air. We are watching plane prices and hoping to get a good flight deal to either Disney Land or Disney World.

I will have to post pictures later. Something is wrong with my computer.....

Action Packed Past Couple Of Weeks!

Wow have we been busy busy and sick with the stomach flu to boot. It all started on December 24th when we headed to Idaho to spend the night with family. We had a Christmas Eve party with the Jones's family friends. Good food and good entertainment. The little kids all did a play of the Nativity. It was sooooo adorable. That night we opened PJ's and we all slept at grandma's house. Well sort of. I ended up driving Kingston around town until 2 am because he just couldnt sleep. It was fun though. We saw lots of Christmas lights. The next day we all opened up presents and spent the day relaxing. That night we headed back to Utah and woke up the next morning to our own Christmas. Makenna was loving it and Kingston would have been happy opening just one present. He had at least ten to open. We had to help him since he wanted to play with every toy he opened right then and there. The next day we headed back to Idaho to hang with the family some more. We got a hotel room so we could swim and sit in the hot tub. While in Idaho, we went cross country skiing. That was good family bonding however, I was in pain. It was so hard and I fell so much. It only proved to me how out of shape I was! We rented movies, played gmaes, and I was able to have lunch with a friend as well as get my hair done. By the end of the trip, I caught the stomach bug that most everyone else had and spent our drive home moaning and holding in my cookies. I spent all yesterday super sick and relying heavily on my anti-nausea pills, ibuprofen, and tylenol pm. I am just now starting to feel better but now Kingston is throwing up! Funny thing is, my memories of Christmases when I was young, I was usually sick with the stomach flu. Go figure. Oh, and Makenna got her first tooth over our vacation. That is exciting. Next up is Seattle in a couple weeks

Santa!

I wasnt sure how Kingston would like sitting on Santa's knee but he did it. The look on his face was so sweet. He looked so amazed that he was sitting on Santa's lap. All this time we had been talking about Santa and watching movies about him and here Kingston was, sitting on Santa's lap! I loved watching it. And of course, Makenna was super happy as always.

Alas! Our Christmas Tree

So after spending three hours in the car driving around to find a Christmas tree, I just decided to drop Chez off at home to get ready for work and drive clear across town to the only "decent" looking tree at Smith's grocery store. Only maybe a minute into my drive, I see beautiful trees at this family owned store. I pulled over, picked out the tree, paid for it, and was back home five minutes later. The look on Chez's face was priceless. I felt so proud!

Christmas Decorations

Vegas Pics Continued.....

Las Vegas/Christmas Decorating

Las Vegas was really fun as usual. It was a little different though because we had the kids with us. Luckily my mom came which made it a little easier. On the first day, my mom, the kids, and I drove down from Salt Lake. It was actually a really smooth drive. The kids did so great. That evening we checked into our condo (which was really nice), ate at the Rain Forest Cafe, walked around the Excalibur, then headed back for the night. The next day was Saturday. It was full of lots of fun. We started out by breakfast at Ihop, Walmart to stock up our kitchen, the Mirage to see the dolphins and tigers, then a two hour break to let the kids nap. After the nap we went swimming then to MGM to see the lions, then Denny's for dinner, M&M World, and Coke, then dropped the kids and grandma off at the resort so I could pick up Chez from the airport. That night Chez and I did our own thing while my mom watched the kids. On Sunday, we went to Circus Circus, In N Out for lunch, swimming, a nice long nap for everyone, Serendipity for their famous Sundaes (it was sooooo good), the Bellagio water show, then Chez and I went off alone again for the evening. On Monday, we started out by shopping at the mall, lunch at Chili's, nap time, then my mom, the kids, and I went to visit my cousin who works at the Pallazo hotel while Chez played some poker. We met up with Chez a couple hours later and he and my mom rode the roller coaster at NY NY ( I am not a fan of roller coasters so I bailed out). Again, that night, Chez and I went off alone and we got to sit three rows from the front at the Phanton of the Opera. It was soooooo good. I loved it. Our trip was very fun and the drive back was just as good as the drive there. We did our Christmas decorating today and tomorrow we will put up our fresh tree and decorate it. Merry Christmas!
