My Kids!! MC & MMC

So I am now a mother of two. I have Kingston who is very 2. He can get a little rowdy at times but he is learning manners. He absolutely loves his friends and loves making new friends. He is a horrible sleeper at night and still not yet potty trained. Those are things I will be working on this summer with him. Then there is Makenna who is 3 weeks old today. She is a SPITTING image of her daddy. At this point in time, there is not an ounce of momma in that girl. It melts my heart though because she is so cute and took all of daddy's cute features. My dad has nicknames for all of his grandkids. Kingston is MC which means Mini Chez, although after seeing Makenna, I think Kingston looks more like me. Makenna is MMC, which is Mini Miss Chez. And he is so right! I posted a picture of a close up of Makenna's hair so you can see how blonde it really is.

I Can't Get Enough of This Girl!

Makenna is such a good baby which is a huge break from Kingston. He was a very high maintenance baby and still is today. It is really sad when your newborn sleeps much better than your 2 year old son. Every night around the same time, Chez and I can pretty much expect to find Kingston crawling into bed with us. We know we need to train him not to but we are too tired and he gives us a full night sleep in bed with us. He sleeps right in between us and doesnt move the whole night. I would prefer him to be in his own bed and in due time,we will get the energy to somehow fix that problem. For now, we are enjoying the sleep that our little Makenna is letting us have. All she does is sleep. Maybe it's from all the morphine I had had in the hospital but she is healthy and seems pretty darn happy. As I was cleaning the house this evening and surfing the web, I almost forgot I even had a newborn because she was so peaceful. I decided to take a couple pictures and what you see is pretty much how the past almost two weeks have been like. Fingers crossed that she stays mellow like her daddy.

11 days old already

One of the funnest things about newborn babies is the fact that they smile in their sleep. What exactly are they smiling about? Its cute though.

Her Name Is......

Makenna Lynn Jones! She is our beautiful, healthy, thick head of blonde hair baby girl! We are feeling on top of the world and so happy and blessed to have to wonderful children. Kingston is adoring his "baby shishter" and we are eting up every moment Kingston spends holding her and kissing her. He is going to be a wonderful big brother. I am also falling even more in love with Chez cuddling and loving his daughter. She will be a daddy's little girl!

She's Here!!!! :)

So after the worst week of my life and fear of mine and my daughter's health, our baby girl has arrived. It was Saturday June 6th at he butt crack of dawn where I was rushed into x-ray from my lovely new bedroom/hospital room, due to severe chest pain. After my x-ray, I quickly fell asleep where I was awoken 3 hours later by my doctor who knocked loudly on the door shouting, get up, you have fluid in your lungs and it is time to get that baby out. I quickly called my mom who hopped on a plane then called Chez who turned around on his way to work to meet me at the hospital. At 1 PM, the pitocin drip was administered and the horrible labor pains began. The epidural had to be placed so low that it really didnt work. They kept the worst pain under control with pain killer injections. BY the time I was to deliver, I wanted her out so bad that I begged to push and had her out in only a couple pushes. I instantly felt a ton better from all of my illnesses. Baby on the oher hand had meconium in her waters and had a little in her lungs so she is spending the night with nurses who will be monitoring her very closely. They say she will be fine though. No name picked out just yet and pictures will be posted soon. Her weight was 7 pounds and 14 ounces and she is 20 inches.

I am Sick So Baby is Getting An Eviction Notice

I have been in the hospital for days now and things have been looking grim. I have been swelling, in the worst pain of my life, on several antibiotics, and morphine shots. I went in for a chest x-ray this morning due to some severe pain and they found fluid. The doctor told me I need to deliver so I can get healthy so at noon, I go in for an induction. Not exactly the picture perfect labor and delivery I was anticipating but life always throws gigantic curve balls. Please wish me luck with everything. I have to admit, I am scared. Having a baby at 38 weeks isnt bad but I sure wished I could have been healthy enough to keep her in longer.

Still in Hospital

This is my third day here. They have given me three different diagnosis and a bunch of different antibiotics. I am still getting morphine regularly which sadly I need. Fingers crossed I get better soon so I can mother my son and birth my daughter.

Hospital-Scary!

I went to the doctor yesterday with what I thought was bladder infection. I was in pain but not too bad yet. They called in a prescription of antibiotics and sent me on my way. All of the sudden I went from a pain scale of 5 to 10 in just minutes. I quickly called my doctor and asked him to prescribe me any pain medicine a 37 week pregnant can take. He called in something called percocet and that SUCKED! Around 5 pm that evening, contractions started bad and were every minute so Chez rushed me to the hospital (it was just like you see in the movies). They quickly checked me in, began to monitor the baby and my contractions. They also checked my cervix to find that I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. I thought for sure I would be having her that day but once the morphine kicked in, I was feeling better and the contractions subsided. They took a urine sample and said it was a bladder infection and probably kidney stones. I went home still in some pain and scared it would happen again. He wrote me a prescription this time for vicoden and that definitely did not work. Around 6 am, I told Chez it was time to go back to the hospital because now I had a fever and felt ten times worse. I could hardly walk. I got another shot of morphine which helped and this time they saw that I had a massive kidney infection and a fever of 102. I was feeling like I wanted to die and I told them I was scared to go home. The doctor decided he wanted to keep me here for 48 hours, put me on an iv of antibiotics, and give me regular doses of medication. So, here I am in the hospital slowly starting to feel better and hoping that I can get healthy in time for our daughter's arrival.
