My Babes

My kids are growing up so fast. Makenna is already 4 months old which is really hard to believe and Kingston is 2 and a half years old! They do things everyday that makes me the proudest and happiest mommy. Kingston has recently decided to potty train himself. It literally happened over night without any of my help. I praised him a ton and that is all. He just up and decided to go #1 and #2 in the big boy potty two Saturdays ago and since then, he has not worn diapers, and he holds it whenever we are out and about. I am so proud of him and happy that I do not have to chnage his stinky diapers anymore! Also, he never ever lets me cut his hair and it had been getting so gross. He had side burns and a tail in the back. So I took him to this place called Cookie Cutter and let him play on the toys there and watch this little boy get his hair cut. When it was Kingston's turn, he was very hesitant. Luckily, this place is amazing! Every chair is either a car or some other fun little toy to sit in and every chair has a flat screen tv in front of it. So, Kingston chose to sit in this blue car and he watched Nemo the whole time she did his hair without even crying or flinching. It was awesome! He looks so handsome with his hair cut short. Makenna is talking a lot these days and babbling and smiling and laughing. It is so cute to watch her laugh! She isnt quite rolling over yet but she is getting there. I can put her down on one spot on the floor, walk away, and find her in a whole different part of the room. She just scoots her body everywhere! Her 4 month check up is next week and I am curious to find out her measurements. She is such a skinny little thing but she is really tall like Kingston. I am hoping they let me start feeding her rice cereal because she loves watching everyone eat!

Fall Is Here!

I love Summer and I am sad it is coming to an end but I am so excited for the fall colors and fun holidays for the next 3 months. I love to decorate my house. We put up all the fall decorations today and we will include the Halloween decorations the first of October. I have a lot of fun Halloween crafts to do with Kingston. I am already even thinking about how to rearrange my living room for my Christmas tree! I know I know, I am a crazy housewife! Haha

My New Truck

So it is probably confusing to some that this is my second new car this summer but there is a reason. We sold my first Mariner because it had 60k miles on it and I wanted something with less miles so we bought a newer Mariner. Well, when we got it, it was pretty bad. Things inside were broken like the sunglasses compartment, a passenger door inside was beat up pretty bad, and there was a loud ticking in the back most likely due to the fact that the tailgate was once replaced. The outside had major cosmetic issues like dents all over the hood, scratches everyhwere, and was buffing marks. Then here comes the worst part. The brakes were LOUD and there was a mysterious red fluid leaking from under the car (transmission fluid). So, we sold that one asap and started my car hunt all over again. This time we bought locally through KSL and found so many trucks that we loved. Most of them were lifted with enormous tires. Nice but sold before we had a chance to think twice. Then it was like it was meant to be. We found a killer deal on this super nice 08' Nissan Frontier with only 17k miles on it and warranty still good. It also came with a built in DVD player for Kingston. I love it and it works perfect for me.

My Husband Is So Sweet!

For a few weeks now, I have been complaining to Chez how I need to get my hair done. My hair grows so fast that my roots start showing and my ends get gross. The problem is, I LOVE my girl in Idaho Falls who does it and not sure if I want to find a new person here. We go to Idaho enough that I figured I could do it one of these times we go up. Well, Chez is so sweet and thoughtful. He loves the girl who does his hair. I love his hair every time he gets it cut too. He has wanted me to go to her as well but I have been very hesitant. She works at the beauty college here in town and still has a year to go. I don't feel comfortable getting my color, highlights, and cut done by a girl still in training! Chez however, made an appointment yesterday for me and surprised me with the news late last night. So, to be a good sport and take a chance hoping my hair would come out right, I went. I enjoyed the break from the kids. It was so nice of Chez to watch Makenna especially for 3 hours while I was gone. She wouldn't take a bottle from him though but luckily she stayed quiet for him even though she was starving! Anyway, my hair turned out awesome! Maybe even better than my Idaho girl if I dare say. I know it is just hair and I am making a big deal out of it, but it is one of the things that makes me feel good! I took the pictures of my hair myself since Chez was at work. So since I felt funny doing that, I decided to get a little crazy and do funny pictures.

It Melts My Heart When.....

-My sweet little Kingston gives me a big hug and says, "I love you mommy"
-My baby girl Makenna looks up at me and smiles
-Kingston kisses Makenna, talks to her, plays with her, and cuddles with her
-Makenna watches Kingston so closely and laughs and smiles at him
-Kingston quietly climbs into bed with Chez and I and peacefully sleeps in between us
-Kingston has a grin from ear to ear because he is having so much fun
-Makenna tries her hardest to mimic my voice by making cute little noises
-Kingston sees daddy's car from a mile away and runs towards him so excited
-Chez holds Makenna, talks to her, and most especially kisses her sweet forehead
-Kingston brings me a stack of books and plops himself down next to me
-Makenna tries to talk to her little baby toys and baby dvds
-Kingston looks out the window at the kids playing and shouts, "friends! I coming!"
-Chez spends his entire weekend playing with Kingston and making him the happiest kid
-I simply watch my babies sleeping and adore them in their peaceful slumber. To think that they are mine and everything I do at home with them, is what will shape them as they grow up and learn in this life, is overwhelming but a job I know is most important. Everyone says the time flies so enjoy them young while you can. Well, that is exactly what I want to do. I want to always cherish every moment with my children and let them know through actions and words, how much they mean to me. Chez is probably the world's greatest dad in my eyes and theirs. I want them to grow up knowing they have loving parents who taught them the best they could. I love my little babies and I feel so blessed to be able to have this amazing family! I am posting this in hopes that ten years or so down the road, I can read it and remember the special memories I had of my babes when they were so little.

Where Did This Baby Come From?

Makenna looks nothing like me! It is crazy. Her hair is turning a strawberry blonde color and her eyes are still bright blue. Kingston clearly looks like my child but Makenna looks like she got switched at birth!
